Example 1

Made in Abyss- an animation series(anime). It's an adventure story of a young girl, who goes to the unknown depths, which are very dangerous, to solve her life mysteries. The atmosphere and mood are ever-changing but in general, I think the story is quite challenging and complex.
The animation is drawn as the main artists' style that was also very similar(moreover the same) as in written manga of this story(that was made before the anime series).
The music is instrumental and quite melodic, which gives it a very adventurous mood, it's all composed by one musician so it gives quite a similar mood to the atmosphere in a way.
It's a colorful, surrealistic, fantasy world that is yet to be explored.
Everything is explained in great detail, there is a lot of conversation and exploration, cause basically, everything that is happening here is a journey of new things and learning the stories.

Example 2

Ni No Kuni- video game available on different sorts of platforms. It was made by Studio Ghibli.
It's an anime-style game, a 3D style. It's an adventure-type game. It's colorful and has a lot of surrealistic themes, the world in it is not as we know, it is a fantasy world of the eyes of a young child, who doesn't at first believe anything he sees and all the magic that happens around him himself, that these things that are happening around him are actually real, so it does take him time to actually believe them. In the game, you have two different worlds to explore that do interact, they are both connected, but very different. There are NPCs in the game you can speak and interact with.
This game is interactive, you can walk around through all sorts of different maps and worlds, by progressing in the game you gain and know more things as you move and progress into the story. You need to solve puzzles and progress your abilities& skills to be able to move forward in the game. A lot of the things really depend on the player itself.
It's very detailed drawn, some landscapes of it look like a painting and you're the character going around in it. I attached the picture below.
The game itself involves some videos as the story progresses and when something quite important
happens, as you can very well see in the trailer video included. I think it actually makes it very fun to have things like that, and it's quite exciting to see videos in games, as a lot of expressions and moods can be held in the animations. You can see quite a bit of that in the trailer movie below!
The game music is instrumental, it differs on the world map and location, giving a certain mood to it.

Example 3

Drive My Car- it's a movie. It's based on Haruki Murakami's short story, he is a Japanese writer. The movie is in the Japanese language and has Japanese actresses, filmed in Japan which give quite a ''full-mood'' for the movie. I also find it quite brilliant that's based on a short story, so in that case, not too much need to be ''cut out''. For example, if a movie is based on a book, a lot of stuff needs to be taken out, cause movies are quite short in a sense of a book.
There are lots of different moods in the movie, in which the composition, light, it plays along very well and these things are very well compromised. Some parts of it are quite surrealistic and confusing, but that's how Haruki Murakami writes- he leaves imagination for the viewer/reader, as certain things do not always need to have a meaning and there is a space for interpretation.
It has a lot of poetic interpretations, as a lot of the movie is based on theatre/plays.
The movie is filmed in color, the soundtrack feels very smooth and not ''visible''(dim) too much, as the story itself is quite complex, and often requires a lot to think to be able to understand it well, cause the movie is intense.
